HENRY N. GARRANA is a Partner with the law firm of Garrana Tran LLP.
For the 14 years prior to founding the firm, Henry was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel of Intellectual Property at Dell Inc. located in Round Rock, Texas. Henry joined Dell in October 1995, and established its IP Department. A focus of his activity at Dell has been to drive Dell's patent portfolio forward in an industry that proves to be extremely competitive and ever changing. Dell's Intellectual Property Group covers all areas of IP practice including patent filing and prosecution, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, IP counseling, and patent infringement litigation.
Prior to Dell, Henry had a 17 year career at various affiliates of Schlumberger, Ltd. in the U.S. and France. Henry's last job with Schlumberger was Technology Law Managing Counsel for the Oil Field Services group in Houston, Texas.
Before joining Schlumberger, Henry worked at RCA in Princeton, NJ, and Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis of Alexandria, VA.
